Tens of thousands of students across the nation joined in a march to protest against gun violence in honor of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas shooting in Parkland, Florida, which occurred on February 14th.
Today, Tucson High School students participated in the march and also held a 17-minute moment of silence; 17 minutes representing the 17 people who died in the Parkland shooting.
Parents and gun control activists also joined the students by holding up signs and chanting songs in hopes of making difference and getting policy decision maker’s attention. Those who wanted to show support but couldn’t participate would honk as they drove by the school.
