The City of Nogales sits at the very southern end of Arizona resting on the international border. On the other side of the fence is Nogales, Sonora. The cities are commonly referred to as Ambos Nogales, or both Nogales’s. The two Nogales’s have deep ties, with families on both sides of the border. One connection is the economies of Ambos Nogales. The interconnectedness includes shoppers coming to Arizona from Mexico to pay less and to have more products to choose from, all the way to enormous American corporations with factories in Nogales, Sonora, which saves money and brings jobs to Sonora.
